The beach access is amazing, just steps from the rooms. Our suite had a musty smell, which was uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Limited dining options nearby, so grab groceries before you arrive.

Ocean view rooms offer stunning sunsets and great beach access, just steps away. The unit we got had cleanliness issues and outdated decor. Could use better maintenance overall.

I loved waking up to the fantastic view from my corner room! The easy beach access was a total win for those sun-soaked days. Plus, the indoor heated pool was the cherry on top after a long day at work.

I couldn't believe how uncomfortable the bed was—like sleeping on concrete. Plus, the shower was laughably small, with the head barely reaching my shoulders. It made for a frustrating stay, and I left feeling sore and cramped.

The view from the room is fantastic. The full stove and fridge make it easy to whip up a quick meal nearby the beach.
The lighting in the room at night is a bit dim.

Location is everything. Steps from the beach with a beautiful, unobstructed ocean view. The room offered two queen beds and two bathrooms, making it comfortable for families. The electric fireplace added a cozy touch. the property is dated. Windows could use a cleaning, and maintenance is clearly needed—curled caulk, worn mattresses, and peeling microwave edges are not ideal. Check-in was unfriendly, though checkout staff were pleasant. Housekeeping staff obstructed walkways with supplies, creating a slight inconvenience. Despite the wear, the room was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. If they invest in upgrades, this could be an ideal beach destination. Planning to return with friends and their kids. A diamond in the rough, but it needs polishing.

I absolutely loved the stunning beach views from my room and how it offered easy access to a beautiful stretch of sand for relaxing strolls, making it perfect for soaking in the sun and the ocean breeze, plus being just over 500 meters from the lovely Lake Lytle and less than a 5-minute walk to Manhattan Beach State Park, there is plenty of space for family fun outdoors. The rooms were quite comfortable and had great amenities like a full-sized stove, fridge, and even a swimming pool where my kids could play all day long. However, the internet was a bit slow.

The room offered stunning wrap-around ocean views and was clean, though the bed left much to be desired. The pillows were flat, and the mattress was old and springy. It was warm during our stay, and the absence of a functioning AC made it hard to sleep comfortably. Noise from neighboring rooms was noticeable due to slamming doors at all hours. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the convenience of a full-size fridge was appreciated. the floors needed better cleaning, and attention to detail could improve the overall experience.

The suite was quite spacious and had a cozy sitting area with a fireplace, which was a nice touch. The dining table was also a great addition, perfect for enjoying meals with a view of the lake and ocean. Unfortunately, there were a few drawbacks. The hair dryer didn't work, which was a bit disappointing. The king size bed could have been more comfortable, as it felt like I was going to roll off during the night. The noise from Highway 101 was a bit bothersome, but closing the windows helped to dull the sound. the kitchen facilities were superb, allowing us to cook our meals with ease. The views from the suite of the lake and ocean were truly relaxing. the shower head definitely needed replacing, as the water pressure was too intense and the shower area was quite small. The hotel could improve by updating the mattress for a better night's sleep and addressing the noise from the highway. Despite these issues, the overall experience at Surfside was pleasant.

Spread out a picnic blanket, build a bonfire, and enjoy the indoor pool. or not. Free parking was handy, though. Fishing was a blast—clean, definitely. Loved every minute.
I just adore finding lipstick on my pillow and dirty kitchenware in my lovely room.

The beachfront location was a highlight, with a lovely partial ocean view from the balcony. The suite’s size was impressive, featuring two bathrooms and a cozy fireplace—a perfect spot after a beach stroll. Unfortunately, room 208 had a lingering cigarette smell and a filthy chair. The noisy neighbors and thin walls made it hard to relax. While the staff were somewhat unfriendly, I appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and clean facilities. A mix of great potential and some maintenance issues left me feeling a bit torn about the experience.

The location was unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the beach access. The unit on the ground floor was clean, comfortable, and offered a beautiful ocean view with a covered deck.
The lack of amenities like AC and DVD players was disappointing, tarnishing an otherwise lovely vacation.

The kids had a blast at the theme park right there in the hotel. The staff was super friendly, and the rooms were really clean.
It cost a pretty penny, but it felt worth it for the fun we had.

Cartoon marathons kept them entertained indoors when not splashing in the ocean.
For dads, it would be great to have more easily accessible bedside plugs for kid-friendly night lights.

Surfing and chilling in the pool were dope. The room had mad vibes, and the view was insane. Walking distance to sick restaurants was clutch!
Adding a cool rooftop bar would take the party to the next level! .

surfsid resort turned our trip around! the room was spacious and very comfortable. we appreciated the pet-friendly attitude even though we didn't have a pet with us. the staff, especially angelica, went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. the full kitchen and ocean view were delightful surprises. having the beach access right there was perfect. we also enjoyed the fireplace and the great shower head. a lovely spot for a relaxing getaway.

the rooms were spotless and had great ocean views - perfect for watching the sunset. the mini kitchenette was handy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. plus, the beach access was fantastic and within walking distance to local attractions.

Had a great shower with nice linen, and a comfortable bed. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The location was right on the beach with easy access, and the room was clean and fairly quiet with a nice view.
The stairs were a challenge for my knees. The room had limited amenities like only a towel hanger and slow internet.

We had a wonderful time at this beachfront resort in Rockaway Beach. The easy beach access was a major plus, and our clean and well-organized room exceeded our expectations. The partial view from our corner room was a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and the price was great. The fully equipped kitchen and abundance of towels made our stay even more enjoyable. The family room was spacious, with two bathrooms and a full-size kitchen. Just a short walk to the beach!
Noisy neighbors disrupted our sleep, and the bed could have been more comfortable. Guests paying for a suite with two TVs should have access to two DVD players.

Great ocean views from the balcony and a spacious family suite. The kitchen was well-equipped and the beach access was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy "home" for a few days. The pool was also a fun amenity. Overall I'd recommend this hotel.
